Day 33: A Conversation with Christian Dior

Today Pamela Baxter, CEO of Christian Dior Parfums, came and gave a chat about her rise to success. She really is the epitome of a rags to riches story, starting out as a makeup artist behind the counter of a department store to becoming one of most influential people in luxury goods. It was quite inspiring to see this strong and resilient woman standing in front of us. But , to an extent, she still reminded me of Meryl Streep from The Devil Wears Prada. Not malicious or cruel, but rather detached and cold. Do you have to have that type of personality to be that successful? Is it the pre-requisite to join the billionaires club?

Maybe it's a ruthless quality that they all share, but it's hard not to admire their strength. Plus, I'm not complaining when it comes to giving out freebies.
